Terms of Service

These terms are an agreement between you and Cinnamon Paws Studio, the trading name of Csaba Körmöci, an individual developer in Romania ("we", "us"), about Candy Box Sort (the "Game"). By playing the Game you accept them. If you are under 18, a parent or guardian should read them with you and accept them for you.

1. Using the Game

We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to play the Game on devices you own or control, for your own non-commercial use. You may not copy, modify, reverse-engineer, resell or exploit the Game, use cheats or automation, or interfere with its ads or purchases, except where the law allows it.

The Game is also governed by the terms of the store you got it from (Google Play or the App Store). Apple and Google are not responsible for the Game.

2. Virtual items

Coins, boosters and other in-game items ("virtual items") are a licence to use a feature of the Game. They have no value outside the Game, cannot be exchanged for money, and cannot be transferred. We may change how virtual items work (for example their prices in coins) to keep the Game balanced.

3. Purchases

• Purchases are processed by Google Play or the App Store, under their terms and refund rules. Prices are shown in your local currency before you buy.
• Remove Ads removes the ads shown between levels. Optional rewarded ads, which you choose to watch, stay available. It can be restored on a new device with Restore purchases using the same store account.
• Coin packs and bundles are used up when delivered and cannot be restored. Nothing you can buy contains a random reward: every product shows its contents before you buy.
• EU and UK right of withdrawal: purchases are digital content delivered straight away. When you buy, you ask for immediate delivery and accept that you lose your 14-day right of withdrawal once delivery has begun. This does not affect your rights if an item is faulty or does not arrive.

4. Ads

The Game is free to play and supported by ads, as described in the Privacy Policy. Between-level ads never appear before you have finished level 25, appear at most once every 20 levels you win, and only on the win screen: never after you lose a level. Rewarded ads are always your choice. Players under 16 see no ads.

5. Your progress

Your progress is stored on your device. Deleting the Game or its data, or losing the device, can lose it. We will help where we reasonably can, but we cannot restore progress we do not hold.

6. Changes and availability

We may update the Game, change or remove features, or stop offering it. If we stop offering the Game entirely we will give reasonable notice in the Game, and where the law requires it we will refund paid items you have not been able to use.

7. Responsibility

The Game is provided as it is. We do our best to keep it working, but we do not promise that it will always be available or free of errors. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, such as for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or your statutory rights as a consumer, including the legal guarantee that digital content conforms to the contract. Otherwise, we are not liable for losses that were not foreseeable, and our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

8. Ending these terms

You can stop at any time by deleting the Game. We may suspend or end your licence if you seriously break these terms.

9. Law and disputes

These terms are governed by Romanian law. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live, and you may bring claims in the courts there or in Romania. Please write to us first: most problems are solved quickly. You can also contact the Romanian consumer protection authority, ANPC (anpc.ro), or the consumer body where you live.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. If the changes are significant we will tell you in the Game. Continuing to play after that means you accept the new terms.
